Iranian delegation says Tehran will train the engineers of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in the mining sector.On Tuesday, the acting minister of mines and petroleum, Hedayatullah Badri, met with the representative of Iran and six mining companies of that country and discussed investing in Afghanistan’s mineral resources.They have expressed their interest in investing in Afghanistan’s iron, coal and oil mines and have pledged to launch specialized training courses for the engineers of this ministry.“Iranian investors found Afghanistan’s current situation favorable for investment and expressed their interest in lead mines, oil and gas,” said Homayoun Afghan, a spokesman for the ministry.Meanwhile, Badri welcomed Iranian traders’ interest in investing in the mining sector of Afghanistan.
